Risk assessment for medical devices and pharmaceuticals
Risk management is an important part of development and production processes. The risk analysis provided by SCIO FMEA has gained an additional graphical analysis in the risk matrix, which can be used in place of or to complement risk priority numbers and pareto analysis.
The analysis of risks using risk priority numbers does not always provide a satisfactory picture for management decisions. A risk matrix can be far more telling. The risk matrix, which is also sometimes called a risk graph or portfolio analysis, is used as standard procedure in the pharmaceutical and medical technology sectors and is becoming more and more widely used in other industries as well.
